Fairfax is a thriving, independent city adjacent to Washington, D.C. Fairfax real estate owners take pride in the city's long history, whose bicentennial anniversary was celebrated in 2005. George Washington's will is still filed at the Fairfax Courthouse and much of the city's historic charm is evident in Old Town Fairfax.
